We stayed for a week in June as a couple with a 4.5 year old and a 2 year old. The cottage is furnished and presented to a very high standard. The sofas, beds and pillows are all extremely comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need to prepare and cook meals. Everything is spotlessly clean and there is plenty of space. I don't think it is billed as 'family friendly' (we took our own cot and high chair) but still there were plastic plates, bowls, cutlery + lots of kids DVDs amongst the collection so we felt welcome and provided for. We were looking forward to a rainy afternoon watching films by the wood burning stove - but the weather proved too good to stay in! There is lots of space for the kids to have fun in and they enjoyed running round the garden, watching the rabbits and the birds visit, and the cows and calves in the field next door. After the kids were in bed, we spent the long light evenings relaxing in the sunroom, watching the neighbouring badgers play in the field. It feels like a really remote get away, but there is a lot to do in the area. We don't usually go back to the same place twice, but I'd definitely consider revisiting this area and would definitely stay in this property again.
