We had such an amazing stay here. The surroundings were amazing and the instructions to find the barn were really helpful and made it super easy to get to by car. The hosts were so welcoming when we arrived also. After reading reviews we were slightly worried about wifi/signal but it turned out to be fine and worked well for what we needed it for! Was a perfect stay in the countryside and would definitely recommend!

The cottage was perfect for our party of 10 plenty of room and well equipped. The location was really out of the way and when you are driving in the dark on icy roads it was difficult and quite scary. The weather worsened over the weekend and because of the amount of snow we had to be towed onto the main road. I’d like to visit again in the summer as it would be a totally different experience. The house was warm. The instructions to the cottage were good but we followed the sat nav which took us to another farm so follow the instruction from whatever direction you are travelling from. We had a good family get-together and that was the main thing.

We really enjoyed staying here and at the campsite across the field for my husbands birthday. The host was welcoming and easy to talk to, he left us helpful instructions and showed my friends around personally when they checked in first (and early) The rooms are mostly communal so it feels like you’re having a proper sleepover, all of the rooms were on-suite and the kitchen was big enough to host breakfast Between the barn and the campsite are some lovely, friendly, and very photogenic horses who will escort you between gates if you let them We had a bbq and some beautiful walks in the surrounding areas (Leek is a gentle paced hour and 10 walk away and has some great pubs and crafty looking shops) , one day we went to Alton Towers which was easy to get to by car, and a few of us squeezed a visit to Buxton in, too. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this place to others.

We had a great time at the cottage. 9 visitors on a cycling trip. Pretty easy to locate and then very easy check in. You need cars (or bikes) to get to anything, and your first action of the day will be a 10% climb up the driveway onto the stunning plateau. We found it perfectly located for some peace and quiet, but close enough to some great pubs and food. the Black Lion Inn in Butterton was a great place to eat.
