The actual place was beautiful and well maintained. It physically met all of the needs for our group of 7 and still felt like we had plenty of room. The major downside was the unexpected late night noise. We were informed at 1:30am on our first night by the hosts that the property next store (which they own) was recently rented out. The renters must be a bar or party space because both nights there was a huge and loud party in the courtyard immediately below the air bnb. No where in this listing was that mentioned. While the host informed us the noise will be done by 1am, these parties lasted well past 3am. While we understand this is New Orleans, we booked this place to be away from the noise and bustle of your typical fare. The single pane windows provided no noise canceling and made sleep very difficult. When I informed the host of the noise well into the night, we were met with silence and no further information or apology. I would not recommend this place if you want to sleep.

Pro's - the place is very well done, location is great (easy walk to Frenchman, French Quarter, etc) and the bookstore/coffee shop downstairs was cool and convenient. Con's - both nights we were there, there was a full on party with dj etc in the courtyard just outside the unit that went on until 3 am. We were a little sympathetic that its NOLA and maybe out of the owners' control until we found out they owned the whole block - including the event space. On reviewing the listing we found that a new note had been added after we booked saying there were "occasional" events until 1 am but that wasn't our experience. If you're coming to NOLA to party until 3 am this place is for you - but otherwise would suggest booking elsewhere. (on a much more minor note, for $1000+ a night it would be nice to provide shampoo. . .)

This was the perfect place to stay for a bachelor party. It's beautiful inside and spacious - each bedroom has its own full bathroom - and was clean as a whistle upon arrival. It's also in a good location where the French Quarter is walkable, but at the same time far enough away such that noise isn't an issue. Despite being on a main street, it's on the second floor (above a fantastic coffee/book shop) and offers a comfortable level of privacy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area with a group of friends or family.

Beautiful and clean! The coffee shop underneath was great in the mornings. Loved it!
