Eleni is by far the best host I have ever had. She responds quickly to any questions you might have, and she is always thinking of ways to make her guests more comfortable and their stay more pleasant. She shared fruit and olive oil from her family’s farm with me, and we spent time talking about Greek food and how different dishes were prepared. I learned a lot from this. I think of Eleni now as a friend and I very much look forward to seeing her on my next visit to Crete. The apartment is small, which can present a few challenges, but it was perfect for my needs. Everything was very clean and Eleni made sure I always had fresh linnen, towels, etc. The location is great for access to good markets (the farmer’s market is only a few minutes from the apartment and it is fantastic!), really nice restaurants, and some local sight-seeing in and around the old city of Heraklion. The apartment, and Eleni, have my highest possible recommendation.

Great apartment for longer visits, the apartment has essentially everything you need. Eleni is a wonderful host, very friendly and is easily available for help. She really went above and beyond with her service and provided excellent recommendations and advice for my stay.

J'ai occupé l'Elephant House pendant 1 mois, et sincèrement j'ai rarement été aussi satisfaite ! Malgré mon heure d'arrivée tardive (23h), Eleni n'a pas hésité à m'attendre et s'est directement montrée très agréable avec moi ! Pour ce qui est du logement, il correspondait exactement aux photos et était très propre en plus d'être très bien situé. Quant à Eleni, je n'ai absolument rien à redire si ce n'est "merci" ! Très réactive et serviable, elle m'a conseillé de nombreuses adresses et a su répondre à mes questions en tout genre ! Pour un séjour de longue durée, je recommande sans hésitation ! ☀️
