The Mistal at Old Low Moor Farm is a luxury detached barn conversion overlooking open countryside. It has an open plan living/dining/kitchen and two en suite bedrooms. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement The Mistal has a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge and separate freezer and induction hob. The lounge area is vaulted and has a feature wood burner. The house has underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and radiators to the first floor. Both bedrooms have zip and link beds which can be split into singles if required and each has an en suite shower room. There is a double sofa bed downstairs which can accommodate extra guests ( extra charge of £25 per night) and there is also a downstairs loo and cloakroom.

A fabulous cottage in a beautiful location. The pictures, really don’t do the cottage justice and the food and hospitality at the Dog and Gun were fantastic. It was great to meet Jeff who was really helpful with advice for a local walk. He was also very quick to sort out a minor problem with drainage in our shower. We will definitely return. Thanks Jeff.
Lovely place to stay. Clearly a lot of time and effort has been put in to creating a wonderful peaceful place to stay. The wood burner was great to warm us up and enjoying the countryside nearby. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Jeff was the perfect host. The cottage was perfect for our Christmas stay. Easy to find with Jeff’s instructions , with parking right outside the cottage. Very peaceful surroundings, lovely local pub and Thirsk with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and shops a short drive away. Would definitely return and recommend for a peaceful, chilled getaway.

A car is essential but many of our guests bring bicycles as we are close to a number of national cycle routes. We can provide secure locked storage and washing facilities for bikes.
