The views and location are amazing. The house is very old and needs a lot of maintenance. The decking had paint peeling and rusty nails. The doors were very hard to close and lock. The master bedroom had no door to the master bathroom. The house is big and was clean, but it needs way more TLC than the pictures show.

This was a beautiful home with lots of room for our multi-generational family to both come together and have time apart. The pool and spa and access to the beach were fantastic - we hit some great weather, so that was nice as well! Dave was a total bonus, helping answer some questions. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Tidal Wave was truly special. My family of 16 all gathered there for a Thanksgiving week vacation and had a blast. The kids loved the pool and hot tub and we walked across the street to the gulf side of the beach to play in the waves several days. The little beach on our bay side was nice too, but not necessarily to hang out for a “beach” day. House is super spacious and we had plenty of room to hang out, eat and play games as a family. The hosts were very responsive and quickly dealt with a couple heating issues we had with the pool and hot tub (just needed to add more water and be reset). Dauphin Island had some cute souvenir shops and a little food market and gas station too, and we went to the aquarium, which was fun. We even made a day trip to New Orleans one day! Mostly cooked meals at the house so I don’t have restaurant recommendations. Would highly recommend staying there!

The Tidal wave was a wonderful space for an extended family of Eleven. Everyone had plenty of space. The house itself could use a few updates but the set up was perfect for what we wanted for our relaxing family vacation.

First, I want to say that this is a beautiful, spacious home. There was more than enough room and the kids got a lot of use out of the pool. The issues we had with this property was there where many things needing maintenance and several areas needing a deep cleaning. The following is a list of issues we came upon while staying at this home: Broken glass in a bedroom window, kitchen faucet and downstairs bathroom shower faucet both broke, broken chairs on the patio, no light in front of house, freezer dirty and difficult to open, dead batteries in nearly every tv remote, oven door was disgusting, jets do not work in the hot tub, no extra blankets, air vents covered in dust build up, wash machines had mold and gunk in them, dingy/smelly white towels were left in the dryer, baseboards dirty, and railing around pool deck is not safe due to rotten wood. Seems ridiculous to be charged a $350 cleaning fee when the home has all these issues!
