The place was just as described, and was minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone. Also had all the modern amenities for such a rustic location!

Cabin was perfect for our Yellowstone trip. Comfortable clean and located just outside the Yellowstone gate. The view from the front porch is lovely and we were greeted by a fox friend in the mornings.

The location was perfect. But when we arrived we had no soap other than dish soap. No hand soap or anything to shower with. The dirty pillowcases from the guests before were left on the floor by the bed. I tried calling but the call failed. I messaged the hosts and never heard back from them.

Great cabin right next to Yellowstone entrance. Foxes come around if you barbecue.

If you’re going with just adults - I definitely recommend. HOWEVER keep reading if going with kids. This place is not safe for children. We brought our 1 year old and had to have our heads on a swivel the whole time to avoid him either breaking something or hurting himself. The only ways to heat the place are a wood fired stove or a radiant space heater - both of which are huge burn hazards for a curious toddler. You cannot put them to sleep until you go to sleep, because there is no way to block the stairs to the loft. The yard is not maintained and has what looked like poison ivy. All the dishes are glass and stored on the low shelf. It’s just very much not a place for kids. Other small complaints - the sheets were dirty on our arrival (extras were available, so it wasn’t that big of a deal) and there are no curtains so anyone can see you getting dressed. Even so, I would have probably loved our stay had it been just my husband and I. Just don’t bring the babies.
