Luxurious gite in beautiful, quiet rural surroundings converted in 2018. Spacious accommodation & modern facilities. Private terrace with seating & bbq with large gardens & 10m x 5m in ground pool. On the Loire/Vienne border near Futuroscope, Loire Valley Chateaux, Vineyards of Saumur & Chinon, historic towns of Poitiers, Tours & Richelieu. The characterful cottage offers historic interest including stone floors, oak beams, indoor well with safety glass, vaulted ceilings & lime washed walls. La Maison du Puits has two first floor bedrooms with wardrobes and one with en suite shower room and extra large bed, bedroom 2 has three single beds. On the ground floor there is a further bedroom with an extra large bed, kitchen/dining room with covered well, sitting room with comfortable sofas and television with french and english channels and a bathroom off the main stone staircase. Bed linen and towels are included in this rental.

Le gîte et la propriété de Samantha et Mark ont été magnifiquement rénovés, décoré avec goût ; le lieu est calme, paisible et confortable avec tout les équipements proposés, idéal pour se ressourcer et pour les adeptes d'authenticité. L'accueil est irréprochable, Samantha et Mark sont toujours disponibles et plein de gentillesse. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et recommandons vivement d'y poser ses valises !
Très bon accueil, propriétaire très chaleureux, nous avons eu plusieurs petites attentions, et toujours disponible si besoin ( ouverture de la piscine même avec un mauvais temps ^^ ) Le gite est très propre est très atypique, nous avions un puits couvert par une vitre dans le notre. Si vous voulez passer un excellent moment, je recommande !!
We spent a lovely 10 days in Sam and Marks Gite near Richelieu. It is a very peaceful place and the accommodation is well proportioned and comfortable for our family of 5. Mark and Sam were possibly the most hospitable hosts we have ever encountered and they run a very professional but friendly place. Thank you to both for the wonderful stay.

Set in a quiet rural hamlet within 2 miles from a town with a restaurant, bakers, convenience store, tourist office, bank, pharmacy etc. The nearby medieval towns of Richelieu, Chinon, Poitiers, Tours and Saumur offer excellent entertainment including chateaux, wine tours, fine dining, zoos, shopping, golf and the amusement parks of Futuroscope and Puy de Fou.
We are in a beautiful quiet rural hamlet with lots of fantastic walking nearby but with the advantages of a small town approximately 2 miles away.

I am married to Mark and we have two daughters who are approaching teenage! We love to travel ourselves and moved to live in France in 2017. We adore this area with it's wealth of interesting historic town, chateaux and gastronomy.
