This is a lovely house with an excellent arrangement of bedrooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, and a well equipped kitchen. As older, slower walkers it took us about 8 minutes to walk to the beach. It was not made clear to us that this house is part of a community which included a sound side swimming pool just across the street and a larger pool on the way to the beach. The sound side pool was a peaceful place to float and watch sunset and birds come in for the night. We had no idea how to use all of the remotes to operate the tv and other equipment and had to ask for help. It would be nice for a guest information binder which includes instructions for using the remotes, any information needed for the hot tub, and information about the pools, including codes to enter the gates. Management responded quickly to any requests we had. Our only disappointment was the location, set back from the main busy street, so it was too noisy to enjoy being out on the decks.

We loved staying at this beach house for a week!!! We hated to leave! It was exactly as the pictures portrayed online! We wanted to stay another week together! It had so many amenities that were not listed…there was a room on the ground floor that had beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, bicycles, basketballs, corn hole, etc. We had rented so many of these items that were already at this house! It had everything already except for the sand cart. There were so many items in the kitchen to use as well! There were coffee pots, Keurig, 4-slice toaster, measuring cups and spoons, etc. We did bring a griddle ( there was not one there to use). We made so many memories that will last for a very long time and they will make us laugh as we remember them throughout the year! We would definitely go back in a heartbeat! Enjoyed our week at “Grateful Duck”! Thank You for helping our vacation be as awesome as we had hoped that it would be this year together!

Great house and proximity to beach for the money.

A beach vacation was just what we needed as a family.... and our weather was great!! House was clean, spacious, and location was perfect!!! We were sad the pools weren’t open but we honestly didn’t miss them at all!! Rented boogie boards and bikes and rode to the beach and downtown Duck multiple times! We can’t wait to come back to OBX and are already looking for dates in 2021 to return!

We came right after hurricane Dorian. They worked very quickly to get our space ready and we were happy with the level of communication throughout all the uncertainty. Would book with them again!
