Ana and Juan’s place is in a fantastic location for exploring Malaga. Close walking distance to the Centro, SoHo, and the puerto. Our host also gave tons of recommendations for things to see and do. The private upstairs balcony was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Every time we had questions Ana was so helpful, even sending little videos when needed. I can’t recommend this place enough! The only thing that was different from the listing was the parking wasn’t free. However, it was super convenient.

The view from the balcony is wonderful. You can see the Alcazaba from the North end and the Mediterranean from the South end. There are many great restaurants within walking distance. The bus system is easy to use (€1.40 per person per ride payable to the driver, though I recommend getting a multi-trip card if using the bus frequently). Ana and Juan were very helpful with any questions. They even provided some nice treats (beer, croissant, and coffee) upon arrival. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with supplies. Note that to unlock the apartment you need to have good cell phone service on your phone as it uses an app. They can also provide a code instead. Make sure to get the code. Juan met us to ensure that we were able to get in, which was necessary since the exterior door to the lobby is usually locked. Also, the bed is a full-size mattress, not a queen. We really enjoyed our visit and would love to return some day.

We had 11 days in a modern and nice penthouse apartment. The apartment had a fine terrace which had a view to the west and partly seaview. It is not a big apartment but it can serve up to three people when one of them sleeps in the living rom. The hosts were friendly and serviceminded. We were met by Juan when we checked in. The neighbourhood in Soho was interresting and less impacted by tourists as you will find further up in the historic center. We found the rent of the apartment somewhat expensive for april. All in all we had a fine stay and will recommend it to others. Tor - Petter
