The Beautiful fishing village of Polperro is just 2 miles, Looe is 3 miles, the sailing port of Fowey is 5 miles and the Eden Project is 9 miles away. THE FARMHOUE IS GETTING A HOT TUB / SWIM SPA ! We are very excited to announce that we are installing a large (3.8m x 2.36m !) Hot Tub / Swim Spa in the Farmhouse garden for the exclusive use of guests staying in the Farmhouse. The spa will have hydrotherapy seating for 9 people (with water jest on your back) and has room for 3 more in the pool with you at the same time - so the whole family can join in. What is more the spa has swim jets - so you can exercise by swimming or jogging or do aqua fit training against the current (assuming that you want to exercise while on holiday !). The hot tub is not in place yet but It will be in place and ready to use from 15th June. Guests booking from after 3rd May2024 will get free use of the hot tub during their stay. EV CHARGING : Please note that a 7KW Electric Car charger will be available for guests to use on the farm from the beginning of June (charged at 65p/kw). The Old Farmhouse is a charming historical farmhouse which has been tastefully renovated to provide spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to twelve people in five bedrooms (maximum occupancy is up to eight adults, two children and two infants, or nine adults, and two children or infants). The Old Farmhouse has a massive kitchen, two lounges (plus two TV’s and two log burners). It also has its own Wi-Fi. With its own private south facing garden, large patio area and parking for up to 3 cars the old farmhouse is perfect for a large family get together or for two families to holiday together. The heart of the farmhouse is the massive family kitchen, with a large dining table , island workbench / breakfast bar and with doors out to the rear garden. The kitchen has a small sofa and benches for relaxing. It also has a vaulted beamed ceiling and is always flooded with light from the ten glass doors and windows. The kitchen was originally used for parking the farm tractors and you can still see the exposed stone of the old farmhouse wall and even the back of the clay bread oven that was once used to bake bread for the family. The kitchen now has all the modern conveniences to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including a double range oven, microwave , fridge, double sink and a 50 inch tv. Off the kitchen is a small utility room with a large American style fridge freezer. For those staying in winter the kitchen also has a log burning stove (though it is not needed as the central heating is more than adequate). From the kitchen there are double doors through into the wide corridor and from there doors lead into the two lounges and the downstairs bedroom. The main lounge is beautifully furnished and has a 42inch TV, with a DVD player and a FreeSat satellite TVplayer and recorder box. From the main lounge , double doors take you through to the small lounge, which offers a peaceful seating area. The small lounge was once the kitchen for the farmhouse and still has the original stone hearth and bread ovens built into the 4ft thick wall. The room now has a log burner fitted , which is perfect for sitting in front of during winter nights. Upstairs the Farmhouse has four bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king size bed and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has a king size bed, The third bedroom has a double bed and the fourth bedroom has a three quarter bed (with room for one adult or two children). There is room for a cot or extra bed in the first or second bedrooms. Upstairs there is also a shared bathroom with a large shower and a separate bath. The fifth bedroom is downstairs, off the main hall and has two single beds. There is also a downstairs toilet making the downstairs bedroom suitable for guests with limited mobility (please note that it is not an en-suite toilet – but is available on the ground floor via the reception area at the front of the farmhouse). Please note that The Farmhouse has not been officially accredited with a star rating. This is due to the fact that it only has two bathrooms and because there are no bedside tables in the third bedroom. Please be assured that the property has been furnished to a high quality and we are confidant that you will not be disappointed. The Old Farmhouse can accommodate up to nine adults, plus three additional children or babies on fold away toddler beds or in a cot. The cost of the extra beds and cots will be included in the price and there is space for these in bedrooms one and two. Alternatively there is room for the extra beds in the second lounge. PLEASE NOTE: That the cottage can only accommodate a maximum of 9 adults (plus two additional children). Or it can accommodate 8 adults and 4 children. We also allow two behaved dogs in the farmhouse, but it must be restricted to the kitchen and garden and a security deposit will be required. There is also an additional £10 charge per dog per night (up to a maximum of £50 per dog).
