What a total jewel! It is impossible to put into words what a fantastic location and setting and atmosphere this is. Especially for those who are seeking a deeply quiet solace in a period-location, restored with great care and fidelity to the history of the place. We were warmly greeted and given a wonderful tour of the castle and its architecture, and all of the facilities were modern and top-notch. Hans was super-responsive to every request, even while he was on business for a few days in Vienna. This was amazing. He was supremely gracious when we needed to make a change to our schedule. This location cannot be recommended enough — we will certainly return again and again! — and really one of the finest experiences I have ever had through AirBnB. Very very very highly recommended!

Hans and his wife were terrific hosts. He is a wealth of knowledge about the castle and has great range of recommendations for places to visit, eat and even live. We stayed during New Years and, if you get the same set of rooms we did, you can see three different sets of fireworks going off right from the primary bedroom windows!! This was a great stay with a great host and I would absolutely stay again.

Staying only two nights was too short for this special place. The rooms were spacious... the bathrooms are shiny and new... the kitchen area perfect for a morning coffee. It was historic yet with unassuming modern conveniences. The trails were perfect to explore the nearby countryside. Hans and Maggie were very helpful in making suggestions. It was a slower pace that we were looking forward to after days in Prague. I highly recommend.
