The home was comfortable and clean. Thankful for the extra large washer and dryer, large dining table, and the multiple beds. The only challenge was having to open the gate each time to enter/exit the premises and the short downward slope to park the car under the carport but it had more to do with the fact that we had an unwieldy large vehicle. Kitchen was clearly labeled. Great proximity to the Volcano National Park!

Beautiful surrounds and close to Volcanoes National Park, which is what we were looking for. The home itself is also beautiful and well-equipped for a stay.

Our entire stay was peaceful and felt like a second home. The house was easy to find and really clean. The owners were easy to get in touch with and very nice. We would love to stay here again in the future.

What a great find! Our first Air BnB host could not longer accommodate us and we were forced to find a new spot fast. I'm SO glad we found Sharon & Mitch's place, right outside Volcano. The home is a 5 minute drive down the road, so no need to drive 1-2 hours after a surprisingly exhausting day seeing the park! The home is clean, clean, clean!! Perfect for cooking in - which we did, besides our one meal out at Ohelo Cafe (which is fantastic). The home is wonderfully set up for a family, or two couples. The quad bunk beds were a hit with our kids. It does get cold here at night, so bring some layers. We were never cold while sleeping, since the beds have a couple layers, but we did find it chilly in the mornings, and evenings. Should you get a clear night, then you'll be treated to the best star show, without going up to Mauna Kea. Definitely a great spot for a couple of nights if you are traversing around the island during your time in Hawaii!

Volcano is a very special place! The area is full of incredible plants and beauty! It’s a magical place!
