Beautiful house, great interior with appropriate equipment for large family group, including baby cutlery! Stunning location with excellent sea views. Bute is tranquil but not dull. Great walks, bike routes and scenery. Good communication with the host, rapid response before and during stay. Fully 5*

Beautiful house in lovely quiet area with stunning views. Visited as a family of 13, ages from 1 to 65 and we all enjoyed our stay. House was ideal for all with plenty of space to spread out and come together. Communication from owners was also excellent.

What a beautiful house for a Christmas family get together. The host answered all questions in advance of the trip and the kitchen and home was well stocked for cooking festive dinners and beautifully decorated. Many of us have commented about having a reunion in the house in the coming ears. A very special experience. Thank you

We had a lovely week at Fircliffe. The house was ideal for our whole family- granny, grandad, 3 families including 5 children under 5yrs and 2 dogs! Well equipped kitchen, plenty of bathrooms and loads of space for the children to play. We loved the beaches, even at the end of October and had lots of walks ending up back around the enormous table for games, colouring, pumpkin carving and lots of food and drink! Ed and Lucy were fabulous hosts from first booking enquiries when we needed to change our dates to checking in with us to make sure everything was ok during our stay. Slight problem with the heating at the end of our week but Ed did his best to try and sort this out for us. Would thoroughly recommend and hope we can return one day.

This is a perfect house for family gatherings. We were a party of three generations and we all had space throughout the day, then gathered together for meals before enjoying the comfort of the large lounge for games, music and stories. The bedrooms were beautiful and so comfortable. The master bedroom is the best I’ve seen in the many holiday homes I’ve hired over the years. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the boot room was such a bonus when the weather turned bad. The dresser in the large kitchen had plenty of plates/mugs/glasses etc. Also loved the double cooker and pantry. We had plentiful hot water for showers and each of the bathrooms was excellent. Loved getting the ferry from Wemyss Bay to Rothesay. Short journey from there to the house.
