I stayed with Samu for 10 days and I felt welcome and really well taken care of. She makes this place feel like your home and cooks exceptionally good food. During my stay it was raining pretty much every day, so I spent a lot of time at the house and always felt comfortable :)

Our stay was excellent. Samundra was very friendly and helped us in everything. She cooked very tasty breakfasts. She has a beautiful garden and a terrace where we spent a lot of time. Her house is located away from the main road, so only birds were heard. We enjoyed every day of being at her place.

Staying at Samu‘s was a lovely experience in many aspects. The house is located in a rather quiet, authentic neighborhood with more of a jungle vibe which made it a really good spot to wind down and get to know the life of locals a bit more. As a host, Samu was just great, always available for questions or a chat. Furthermore her cooking is delicious! :) I totally recommend this place to anyone looking for not just a place to stay for a day or two but also wanting to learn a bit about people and culture here.

This lovely place with a wonderful garden felt like home for us, especially thanks to Samudra‘s care, fresh fruit juices and home-made sri lankan dishes (don‘t miss the chance to try her kottu rotti!). In the middle of a quiet and green neighbourhood you can reach the beach in a short footwalk. Chamindu & Samudra were very helpful at all times and made our stay just amazing. Also I will not forget the stylish jungle outdoor bathroom…!

We spent 1 month at Samu’s home and loved every minute. The house itself is in a quiet area where you can relax and observe any of the birds, squirrels or monkeys living nearby. The house is also close to the beach and busstop if you want to go snorkelling, surfing or exploring. The room is very nice and clean and comes with a fan if you need. The bathroom is incredible and you can enjoy outdoor showers after a day in the sun. The best part however is the hospitality here. Samu really went above and beyond to make us truly feel at home. Besides helping us with just about anything she took us to the temple nearby for poya day and we were invited to family dinners and so much more. If you want she to she can show you and teach you how to prepare traditional and incredibly tasty Sri Lankan food which was a highlight for us. This place feels like a home away from home and we are definitely coming back!
