We absolutely loved the cottage. It was exactly as advertised but it’s so much more. It’s apparent that the cottage was put together with lots of love and care. Nothing was missing in terms of amenities and we’ve stayed in quite a few (all superhost level) and none of them have come close to the level of provisioning (we were there over the Easter weekend and with stores closed had no issues). A great way to get started and we were very appreciative of the gesture. John & Dawn are exceptional hosts (we are sad we did not get to meet them). Easy access along the canal path to Chester centre and on our return in the evening it was a safe walk as many people were out and about. We highly recommend the cottage for a single person or couple. We will be back if in the area again.

John and Dawn have a fantastic cottage, everything was clean and tidy. The extras that were left were very welcome too. We would have no hesitation in staying at Towpath Cottage again if we are in the area.
