We enjoyed our stay however the poor/lack of communication with the management company and inaccuracies in listing were disappointing. This is a VERY rural home with the closest anything being 30mins away (including cell service) (all dirt road with tight switchbacks straight up a mountain) and the northern Yellowstone entrance (presently closed) is every bit of an hour away. The rural aspect is lovely if you’re anticipating it however, you really need to be prepared with provisions (like your food, spices, firewood) and your vehicle- especially due to the internet situation. They fail to mention in the listing you will be charged for it if you go over a certain amount of internet data- yet they also highlight there being a workspace area but really, if you need internet or cell service for work, this is not for you. The biggest issue was the management company. They keep banking hours, so with a 5pm Friday checkin, you get no response until mid-day Monday, and one of our issues was no internet so by the time they got it resolved, we were 5 days in to our 6-day vacation. The other issue we reported our first morning that didn’t get attempted to be resolved until that 5th day, was broken beds. The cabin itself is beautifully built but the furniture is anything but beautiful. It is either falling apart like the pleather chair described as “beautiful leather by the fireplace” is actually peeling so bad it leaves pieces of pleather on your skin and clothes. The dining table is a highlight where we spent a lot of time but certainly not a “harvest table seating 10”. It sat 6. Overall, we enjoyed the cabin and the outside space at the cabin, but the shoddy furniture, uncomfortable beds (even the ones not broken were the extreme of really hard or really soft) and scotch and duct tape repairs really took away from feeling like you’re indulging in luxury at nearly $600 a night rate. Again, the views and outside are stunning and the actual cabin construction is lovely with personalized touches from the owner that we enjoyed; however, we feel really misled by different parts of the listing from the ability to comfortably sleep 10, to the note on proximity to amenities. The lack of communication on weekend days also seems to be an absolute fail for vacationers checking in at the Friday 5pm time. By the time the office opened, and we drove down the mountain to get internet and cell service to communicate, (30mins each way), they were able to offer repairs on Tuesday when our checkout was Wednesday.
