Call me Dr. Paul! I am a native of Brooklyn,NY but have lived in Baltimore and Washington for 40 years. I am an MD geriatrician and a hotelier. As an associate clinical professor of medicine at George Washington University I round with my enthusiastic medical students (and premeds) to the homes of homebound elders in underserved areas of the District of Columbia. In this - the autumn of my career - I aspire to support medical excellence, build team spirit, teach and inspire medical students and residents and keep patients well cared for. By sharing medical judgement, humility, warmth and humor, I strive to keep my patients comfortable and happy. My other passions include African art and culture, architecture, Judeo-African connections, interior design, cinema and community service. I am honored to be the co-founder of the Port Antonio Homeless Shelter, which I help fund through rentals at Madison House Baltimore. I am the founder and designer of socially conscious, ecotourism retreats in Port Antonio, Jamaica - Great Huts Resort and Africana House and I have the honor of having established a number of internationally recognized cross cultural educational programs in Jamaica including Cinema Paradise: Portie Film Festival. I recently self published an illustrated family memoir called Pink! which I presented in theatrical form to student groups in New York. I am completing my second book, House Calls: Tales of an Aging Geriatrician. I am a percussionist and vocalist and often sing American standards and Broadway favorites at the Atlas Restaurant Groups Italian Disco. . Come sing with me!
