Gaye is a lovey person, so genuine and kind and runs a real home away from home airbnb. She has lots of experience hosting people in her home and it shows as everything about this stay was a great mix of efficient and relaxed. I had everything I needed and the bed was super comfy and there are plenty of options to keep warm, including an electric blanket, which was good as I discovered that even in summer it can get a bit chilly at night. The place was very clean and I even had some fresh flowers in my room, from the beautiful garden. It was a very quiet area. Gaye knows the region really well and happily shared her considerable local knowledge and made great suggestions to get the best out my time in Dunedin. If you tire of admiring the beautiful scenery all around Dunedin, there is a fantastic free settlers museum, right next to the heritage railway station, which also hosts an affordable art exhibition. The public art gallery is also free and has really impressive exhibits for such a small city. If you can spare the time, give yourself a good couple of days to fit it all that Dunedin offers. You will experience lovely hospitality if you stay with Gaye.
