Oban, a small harbour town, is the ‘Gateway to the Isles’ with regular ferries to the Inner Isles, including Mull and Iona. Cross to the islands on the Corran ferry to explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most westerly point in Britain, or head for Mallaig to catch the Armadale ferry to the Isle of Skye.
