I had a wonderful month at Sharon’s casita. The space is roomy with a full kitchen. The covered porch is a perfect place to sit in the shade. I could often hear the lovely cooing of doves. The sunsets have been beautiful every evening. Sharon is an excellent host. I appreciated her suggestions of trails in JTNP.

Sharon - and her casita - were a delight from start to finish. As others have mentioned, the casita seems MUCH larger than photos can show; the layout is really effective at making the living easy, but the photography difficult! There's enough furniture and decorative touches to make it comfortable and charming, but still leave plenty of uncluttered space for an open and airy feel. LOTS of storage in every room - the walk-in closet is a hidden gem. The porch/patio outside area is another treat. The neighborhood is a cooperative one; folks keep the night lighting to an absolute minimum, so the sky is dark and the stars are bright. During the daytime, I watched mourning doves and ravens, lizards, and roadrunners; in their absence, there were trees, cactus, and yard art to enjoy. Sharon was the perfect landlady; responsive, available when needed, friendly and fun, while always respecting my privacy. I was there for a month and a half, and consider this my favorite AirBnB stay.

Sharon is one of the most communicative and charming hosts I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with on AirBnb. She truly makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s house. Equally charming is the casita itself, which is very spacious for a studio and well equipped with everything necessary for a long term stay. More importantly, it feels cozy, comfortable, peaceful and safe. I couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming host or a more delightful temporary home.

Sharon and the casita reminded me of why Airbnb exists in the first place: you get to stay at someone’s real home and are privy to their experience with the community. It can take years to integrate into a new place but with a great Airbnb host, you jump the line. Sharon is a generous person and a great communicator, and the casita is all charm. I feel lucky I got to stay here and miss it already.
