Teifi Valley and Gwili steam railways, the National Wool Museum at Dre-Fach Felindre and Coracles Health and Country Club all make for a fantastic day out. Cardigan, home to its castle and originally Wales’ biggest cultural festival, the Eisteddfod, and Carmarthen (both about half an hour by car) sport excellent golf courses. The Coracle Centre at Cenarth Falls (famous for its seasonal salmon leap) can all be found within 10 minutes’ drive. And a real taste of Wales is available virtually on the doorstep; the neighbouring farm makes delicious traditional world-famous Caws Cenarth cheese. This tranquil rural location is only 3 miles from delightful Newcastle Emlyn, with its good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants and a delicatessen. This is an interesting town to explore, with a ruined castle, craft and antique shops and a leisure centre with swimming-pool.
