this was a beautiful home. i loved the architecture and carefully curated furniture/art, i found it hard to leave bc i wanted to spend more time in the house! And cant beat the hammock upstairs for a lazy read and glass of wine. the home has high ceilings, given the kitchen is in front it takes awhile to cool but the bedroom was always comfortable in the evenings. in addition given the indoor/outdoor setup mosquitoes are a thing (and im the type they LOVE) but the hosts provided plenty of bug spray - be prepared. The location is close enough to the main "strip", walkable in 10 minutes but with plenty of local restaurants around as well. I found this to be important, although you could hear cars etc during the day it was very private and quiet at night. I was solo so plenty of space for 1, good for couples. With outdoor seating, pool for a cooldown, responsive host and kitchen so amazing that i had to force myself to use a few times despite great restaurants - highly recommend.

This was by far the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. The house is a true gem en so big! We were very sad we had to leave. Everything is very clean, cosy, stylish, etc. It even had a dishwasher :o. It is located in a quiet area within walking distance from everything you need and want to see in Mérida. Don’t look any further, just book this perfect beautiful home. Thank you for having us 🌞

Highly recommend booking Casa Chembech if you’re staying in Merida. It’s an absolutely beautiful home and possibly the largest airbnb we’ve ever stayed in - so much space! The hosts were incredibly flexible and helpful and left lots of helpful recommendations. The pool was a lovely addition and we enjoyed breakfast out in the courtyard. It is a 20min walk into the main restaurant / Centro area - no problem normally but a little hot when it was nearly 40 degrees! We really appreciated the care they took of us after an issue with having to cancel and rebook. Many thanks 🤩

I can’t say enough great things about Casa Chembech. The house was even better than I could have imagined. The backyard was definitely my favorite part - felt like my own little jungle. Having a washing machine was also a huge plus as it was nice to wash some of our stuff mid trip. It was the most relaxing oasis that sometimes it was hard to leave and go explore the city! 😂 I cannot wait to visit again.
