Bien que nous ayons dû écourter notre séjour suite à une urgence personnelle, le temps que nous avons passé chez Mandy et Paul fut excellent et très agréable. La maison est fidèle à la description et on s'y sent rapidement comme chez-soi. Le chat Tiger est adorable et vient régulièrement dans la journée vous dire bonjour. Mandy et Paul sont très accessibles et répondent immédiatement par messages. Merci à eux :) Le village est petit mais agréable, avec une super épicerie locale qui propose de bons produits. Bref, une belle découverte et une adresse que nous garderons. P.S: Tout petit bémol néanmoins, lors de notre séjour, une entreprise rénovait un container juste à côté de la maison ce qui a engendré pas mal de bruit durant les après-midis. Rien d'insurmontable mais un peu embêtant pour la sieste dans le jardin.
A lovely simple house in a beautiful setting? The house had everything we needed for our stay. The garden is pretty and private. Paul and Mandy were very helpful.
Nous avons passé un séjour magique dans la maison en pierre de Paul et Mandy.C'est un havre de paix et de tranquillité.Les équipements sont nombreux et de qualité. Les hôtes sont adorables. Nous reviendrons certainement ♥️🌺
At first glance the house seems very modest but it grows on you. In the end, despite dodgy weather, we really liked it. It is minimalist in terms of furniture etc but it has everything you need including a sauna as a bonus. It is good value for money. Parking with all but a small car is difficult but there seems no reason why you cant leave the car at the entrance to their access road - no distance. It is very private and not overlooked. Escales is a small village but has a restaurant and an epicerie which proved adequate for every day. Location-wise it is central in the Canal du Midi ( don't miss) valley with very spectacular little known country in the hills north and south. East you have the sea and Narbonne and Carcassonne to the West. All are within 45 mins - mostly less. Paul and Mandy were excellent hosts and responded quickly to any communication.
la maison de Paul et Mandy est une ancienne grange réhabilitée avec beaucoup de soins et de simplicité. Un lieu idéal pour visiter la région. les petites attentions à notre arrivée était fort agréable. Hâte de revoir Tiger le chat de la maison qui est adorable.

I was born in London, raised on the south coast of England and I now divide my time between Bristol in England and Escales in the south of France. I have some family in the south of England and my stepmom lives in Northern California. I like California, especially the deserts. And I've recently discovered Hawai'i, I like Hawai'i. I was once a mechanic, I was once a teacher of young children, I was once a merchant sailor. Now I rent houses, sail my boat, tend my garden and support the work of the ManKind Project, a not for profit that helps men grow into mature masculinity. I like cricket, I like theatre, I like music, I like ballet. I like driving 4x4's and I have several motorcycles. My Bristol house is lovely, it and the garden are good representations of my character, colourful, lively and bright! In Escales my partner Mandy and I are creating a home to share so it's much more minimalist and maybe more stylish! I do a fair bit of travelling, sometimes camping, sometimes sailing and sometimes staying in 4 and 5 star hotels. My mission in life is . . . to life a life of joy and celebrate the blessing of life..
