Sleep soundly on a plush Queen-sized Emma mattress adorned with premium French linen or high-count Egyptian cotton sheets. Turkish Cotton bath towels and premium shower products enhance your stay. I spent 7 months at Pelican’s Turning as I was working at the local hospital in Maclean. During this time I was provided the best accommodation I could possible ask for, Chee is an absolutely incredible host and the studio is a complete reflection of that. The communication prior to arrival was very good, Chee had instructions on how to find studio as well as essential items and treats waiting in the fridge/pantry for me. The design of the studio is beautiful with the best quality appliances, linen and furniture. The house is so close to the water. Approx 15 meter walk, the wildlife and animals around make it such a sanctuary. I am so grateful to have stayed at pelicans turning and highly recommend anyone who is coming or thinking of visiting Maclean to choose here. Thank you again Chee and see you again xo

Wonderful place. Stayed here long term and Chee is the loveliest ever. She made our whole stay easy. Very helpful host. House is kept clean and maintained well. Definitely recommend when you come up here! Price is great aswell
If your intention is to relax, be comfortable and feel at one with nature then this is the place for you. Absolute waterfront on South Arm where it meets the Clarence River you'll be surrounded by friendly wildlife and even friendlier hosts. On our first night we watched dolphins playing in the river, water dragons running all over the place, ducks, all manner of birdlife and lots of our host's family pets. Chee and Peter are great hosts and we enjoyed a magnificent stay. The apartment contained everything we could have wished for and then some. Chee made sure there were chilled drinks ready for us in the fridge and plenty of nibbles and fruit and breakfast makings. The kitchen is fully equipped, I wish ours was so well set up, and as a guest all you have to do is bring in your belongings, sit down and relax. Highly recommended to any discerning traveler.
Chee's hideaway was perfect. Great spot by the river where you can sit and relax. Very close to everything in town. Heart-warming touches were the icing on the cake. Definitely recommend.

Yamba beckons with its pristine beaches and the iconic Pacific Hotel, a hit with both visitors and locals. While in Yamba, indulge in diverse shopping, savor meals at its many cafes and restaurants, and explore vibrant markets.
Beer enthusiasts, take note: Townsend's boutique brewery, "Sanctus," is an excellent lunch destination I personally recommend.
Lastly, our Super IGA is second to none. With offerings from a carvery, sushi bar, and a remarkable deli to an extensive liquor selection, it promises a delightful shopping experience.
Navigating Maclean is a breeze. The town's compact layout ensures shops, cafes, pharmacies, and the hospital are within easy reach. For those warmer days, the public swimming pool offers a refreshing escape. Experience the vibrant atmosphere of the monthly Maclean market and delve into local treasures.
Just 18 kms away lies Yamba, boasting pristine beaches and a lively café scene. While Maclean encourages leisurely drives, highway speed limits apply once you're outside the town. Explore the historic Show Ground and the ancient cemetery, and don't miss the mesmerizing sight of bats crossing the sky at sunset.
Please note that the town has an early evening charm; most establishments shut by 5 pm and remain closed on Sundays. However, for your convenience, the local Pub, Spar supermarket and Super IGA are open daily until 8 pm.
