We had a great stay at the Bear’s Lair. It was a good size for our two families with kids. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the house stayed warm and cozy. Everyone loved playing foosball in the garage. We did find some pet hair in the carpet, but we were able to vacuum a lot out. We also wish the top floor bedrooms had closets, but it wasn’t a huge problem using the hooks on the walls and living out of our suitcases. Michael and Christy were super responsive and helpful in making sure we had a good stay.

This air b and b. was so stunning and spacious. The open windows were a huge plus as we spent most days laying on the couch and sitting in the dining room watching the snow fall. Our favorite part was the big kitchen which made for cooking family dinners so enjoyable. Great location, only 10 minutes to sugar bowl for snow boarding. I would def book again!

Our stay was amazing. We loved the house and it was a great fit our two families. The kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed to cook for our group. We spent the days snowboarding at Sugar Bowl which was a short driving distance. The drive up to Sugar Bowl was beautiful and picture worthy as was the drive along Donner Lake. We woke up to fresh snow several of the days we were there and it was nothing short of magical. The homes across the lake nestled in the snow and trees with smoke coming out of their chimneys was a Hallmark snapshot. We enjoyed coming back to the house each day and had great family time watching movies together and the kids spent a decent amount of time downstairs playing pool. All in all - one of the best family trips we've had. Many thanks to our exceptional hosts. We hope to make it an annual tradition.

Christy’s home exceeded our expectations. Very well-kept, well-stocked, comfortable, and peaceful. Check in was simple and communication was great. I had a couple of questions and either Christy or Michael responded quickly. Great location. It was close proximity to a beautiful park and the marina on Donner Lake. We were there in March, I can’t even imagine what it would be like in the summer months! Easy access to I-80 and short drive to grocery store and small plaza. Unfortunately, never made it to the pub within walking distance. The beds were very comfortable and all the furniture was updated and very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked very well with all the utensils, plates, glasses & cookware we needed to make big breakfasts and great dinners for a dad and 4 grown sons. Nice pool table/game area in the garage, but didn’t have time to take advantage of that. Great front porch. It was a great place to stay with attentive hosts! We will definitely stay there again someday!

stayed for an entire month. couldn’t be happier. place is absolutely amazing. clean, super cozy in the cold winter months. felt at home right away. great location, quiet, walking distance to stunning lake and close to truckee downtown with restaurants, supermarkets, etc and quick drive to palisades and northstar as well. about the hosts: excellent communication, proactive, kind, fast and flexible. went out of their way to make us feel at home. thank you! will definitely be back.
