We had such a lovely time staying at the cottage. The hike to town is not easy but worth it for the views!

Die Aussicht auf das Meer und die Landschaft ist sehr schön. Jedoch die Erreichbarkeit des Hauses ist nicht gut. Steile Wege und längere Wanderungen dürfen nicht stören. Bei unserem Zeitraum im Sommer war es zu heiß! Wer Badeferien plant ist dies nichts.
The views from the location is spectacular. No less than amazing. The description of the place created higher expectations with us than what we meet. It if difficult to get to the house. A long, hilly walk from where we were told to park the car. It is indeed a sporting challenge. Very dark at night as there are no lights a long the way. It is also a longer, hilly and somewhat challenging walk to Tellaro. The house is cozy but older. Very charming but with challenges. We knew it was without aircon but could have benefited a lot from that for sure. There we only a small fan in the house and a dehumidfier due to moist. The kitchen is older as well but has what is needed. In our view the best thing about the house is the terrace outside and we enjoyed the warm summer evenings there. But please remember a plan to avoid bugs and mosquitos. Plenty of them in and around the house. So, if you are looking for convenience - this is not the place. If you are looking for an amazing view - this may be it. Communication with the host Annabel was pleasant but a bit slow in the beginning. We managed and it was fine during our stay. A week after we left, we received a complaint from the host about the linnen and towels. We have questioned the complaint and asked for verification (photos). Another week after this first email we did received another but no photos. The discussion is still ongoing and in nature we dislike this. Disagreements can happen like here, however communication concerning it could be much improved. The area of Tellaro is great and for sure we will visit again. But we will stay another place next time.
The stay was perfect. The location is amazing, ideal if you like to disconnect and recharge. Annabel has a very good control of the situation. She thinks into the details to make your stay perfect. Easy to check in and check out. I strongly recommend.

I am an artist from generations of artists. We live between England and Italy where we are lucky to have two properties. One in Liguria near Lerici in an olive grove with breathtaking sea views and the other with magnificent Mountain View’s. Both are little humble jewels which we are happy to share with guests with similar values and love of tranquility. Our family first discovered the areas twenty years ago. Our children from rural Somerset loved the freedom to explore the small passageways independently. They grew in confidence discovering a warm family bar and the charm of a safe village where local children were always eager to make friends and exchange their language for a few words in English. Attending the village Church was a different and fun experience too. The sense of familiarity and family is exceptional in this village and this is why my family and I have returned year after year. We value their hardships and joys of living in a community and in an isolated place. Their histories are rich and stories worth hearing. We watch and learn from their methods and survival be it gathering fire wood off the mountainside, growing and cooking seasonal food, a zero kilometre approach to imported food. To them that’s life not merely a lifestyle. It’s their story. Living a lifetime in one village, rurally and in a close-knit community. Exploring the little unchanged neighbouring villages is magical during festival season. You will become aware of the hard earned life with its dramatic vistas and steep roads. It’s where human intervention has made a habitat unobtrusively blending harmoniously with nature while respecting and observing and imitating their majestic environment. We hope you will share our passion of this landscape and it’s people. Embrace its slow creative way of life where human interaction and permanence, blends unobtrusively with Mother Nature.
