Our second (return trip) stay in a week and I think we were more excited about returning to Riverside than we were about staying at our actual holiday destination 😂 Thank you so much Deb and Andy for another perfect stay, so many beautiful thoughtful touches it was hard to leave. Impossible to rate this place highly enough. We have stayed at a lot of airbnbs over the years and honestly I think this is our favourite ever. Being greeted warmly is always lovely but warm fresh scones with fresh cream and their own honey was icing on the cake. Our favourite thing was feeding the beautiful cattle under a stunning sky and hearing about their individual personalities and then collecting the eggs from the chooks. Sitting on the wrap around verandah eating fresh eggs in the morning sun while the chooks pecked around below us was beautiful, the kids were in heaven there. Deb and Andy are just lovely and while they’re just there and so welcoming, we had full privacy and quiet. Cannot wait to come back on our return trip up the coast. Next time we’ll be booking for a longer stay, not just a passing visit.
Honestly, it’s hard to put into words how perfect our stay was at Deb and Andy’s Riverside Farmstay. From the moment we booked, the communication was faultless. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Deb and showed to our cottage. Moments later, ample warm and fresh scones, fresh whipped cream and jams AND their home harvested honey were dropped to us. The breakfast basket included fresh fruit, bread and cereals. Farm fresh eggs, milk and juice was also left for us. Deb and Andy were so kind to our little boys, letting them experience all facets of farm life, feeding cattle and chooks, sitting on mowers and in trucks and even a ride on the tractor! This stay was meant to be a stop over to break up our journey from Sydney to QLD; however, our cups were so full we could almost just head back home now. If I could give it 1 million stars, I would. The cottage was beautiful and clean, the beds and pillows were so comfortable. This is by far the best AirBNB we have ever stayed in.
We also love our stay at Deb and Andy’s place. They are so welcoming and kind and the cottage is super comfy and cosy. Not to mention the fresh scones on arrival. 🥰
