Our home is pretty off the grid with power generated from solar panels on our roof and pure water coming from our well straight from the aquifer. Soak up the sun and incredible stars out in our wood-paneled hot tub, or enjoy the stock tank pool in the summer. This is a very remote and quiet fully-fenced in location to enjoy the open desert via country roads, just 10-15 minutes from downtown Joshua Tree.n This is an original mid-century home built in 1950 and renovated with modern furnishings. Spacious with two bedrooms, concrete floors, and a vast outdoor space that's fully fenced in for the pups. Perfect for a couple or a group of friends. It's incredibly quiet and feels like you have the whole desert to yourself! Cool off in our stock tank pool on a private back patio, or soak up the stars/UFOs in a spacious hot tub with therapeutic jets. Our outdoor fireplace is a great spot to toast your marshmallows or lounge in the hammock. We also have a stargazing cot outside and a telescope to catch some shooting stars. Inside we have a projector set up for guests to watch DVDs. This house is truly special because it is where Mojave Mallows began! During your stay you will get a complimentary pack of organic agave marshmallows handmade by your host. You can buy additional packs during your stay, or pick them up at some of the boutiques in town. Our guests always get to try new flavors first, another bonus! We have games and DVDs, a record player with a collection of vinyl, and outdoor games (bocci ball, corn hole) out back by our homemade flag. We also have horse shoes set up in the backyard, just outside the fence by the hot tub. The house is kept cool with a mini split and swamp cooler in the living room. We get our water from a well, which pumps clean water straight from the aquifer. We also have solar panels on the roof, but the house is still connected to the grid for power at night.
