We loved our stay at Beaupre. Colin and Chris were such welcoming hosts who went above and beyond to provide not only wonderful accommodation but also freshly made muffins, farm laid eggs and a well stocked fridge and pantry. We had a marvellous time exploring the Huon Valley, taking in the beautiful scenery and walking the many forest trails in the area. The friendly border collie ‘Beau’ helped us feel right at home too.
We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage, set in such a spectacular location. Chris and Colin's hospitality is second to none. The cottage was well stocked with very generous locally sourced provisions. It was also beautifully decorated in keeping with the fascinating history of the region. They have thought of everything. From home made blueberry muffins and bread and kayaking in the bay, to going on long walks guided by Beau, the exceptionally friendly family dog; everything was perfect. An incredibly well appointed kitchen meant we were happy to stay in rather than go out. We will be back! A real break from our crazy covid world.
Colin is an outstanding host and truly went above and beyond for our stay. He responded promptly to our queries and was very understanding and accommodating of our requests. We cannot wait to return to Tassie and will book again. Thank you so much Colin.
Beaupre Cottage…This place is awesome and every bit as luxurious and eclectic as stated on their website…it’s well equipped with everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing getaway…not that we did that of course!! Many historic books and trail maps spurred us out to climb Hartz peak and then drive down to Recherche Bay to take in the history of the area. The welcome hamper is packed full of goodies, veggies, fruit, home baked bread and muffins. Cygnet is close by for anything else you may need. Beau the fur host has a lovely walk to take you on, down along the beach and up along the cliff and back along the road passed the berry farm. We loved every minute of our time there. It’s very cosy and warm in winter…we’re planning to go back in the Summer time. Thanks again
Our stay at Beaupre was a highlight of our visit to Tasmania! We'd encourage visitors to take the opportunity to spend some time outside of Hobart, and enjoy all that this location has to offer. Chris and Colin are spectacular hosts who ensured that every little detail was taken care of - from the great communication before our arrival, to a warm welcome on a rainy evening, and to a stay where everything was provided for. We felt like royalty! Our stay was made even more special because we got to go for guided walks and runs with Beau, truly the best dog ever. We hope to be back soon :-)

We thought returning to our passport country would be a difficult transition. We were very fortunate to have found a community which is as overwhelmingly welcoming as the landscape is beautiful - a place where we could feel most like ourselves.
