This piece of land is a gem! There was no need/want to go to town or search for hiking nearby, we stayed on the property and lake our entire trip. We enjoyed rowing the jon boat around, fishing, stargazing, watching the geese, and admiring the wildflowers and blooming trees. A very peaceful and relaxing few days. Phyllis was responsive and nice, and instructions for check in/out were easy. We absolutely loved celebrating our anniversary in this home.

We had a blast at Blackberry Hill cottage. The pictures do not do this place justice. When we arrived we walked into a wide, open space with a gorgeous lake view! The cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable and feel at home. The kitchen was well-stocked, there were plenty of towels in the bathroom, and blankets in the bedrooms. The house was not cluttered or crowded and it was super-easy to maneuver. The highlight of the cottage though, is the outside space. The house is situated in a way that feels like you're on your own private island. We had direct access to the lake as well as a kayak and a jon boat (which we totally enjoyed). We also used the firepit and the grill in the evenings. If you're traveling with dogs, this is the place! There is so much room to roam and frolic. Phyllis was attentive and quick to respond. She even checked to make sure we arrived safely. I highly recommend this cottage for a perfect balance of serenity and adventure.

We had a very nice time at the cabin. Very relaxing. We canoed around the lake and also used the Jon boat for some fishing. The dogs loved the place and were always running and playing. The view is fantastic and it was very private.

This was an absolutely gorgeous, very private, very quiet location. Your fur baby has plenty of space to roam the property. It is exactly as it looks in the pictures. Very clean and comfortable. We canoed around the small lake and kids did lots of fishing. Very relaxing.

Phyllis’s place was the perfect peaceful retreat! Great, quiet location provided the ideal atmosphere for some R&R. My pup had the best time playing in the lake and I had the best time watching him! The house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend! Phyllis was a great host and I would love to stay again!
