Kadek is 100% a super host, he's so friendly and attentive and was always on hand if there was anything we needed. He was super responsive during our stay and organised our snorkelling trip for us. Breakfast made by his mom was delicious and always on time. The location is perfect and the space is very cool, however I will say lodge itself is a lot more 'outside' then we expected so do prepare yourself for that. Would recommend.

Prachtige accommodatie op een afgelegen plek. De twee broers waren immens attent en schoten overal te hulp waar nodig. De badkamer was fantastisch. Met maanlicht in een bad warm water is een nieuwe ervaring. Wanneer je kippen niet gewend bent kan je wakker worden in de ochtend. Dit stoorde ons niet. Super ontbijt door de familie. Ware aanrader!

We had a very frustrating and stressful encounter with the host at the end of our experience with them which could have left us stranded without a car trip to our next Airbnb (and we had to pay more money than what was agreed... 2 times the price went up). A lot of the Airbnb experience is with the host as well in my opinion, and I saw that he was a superhost on airbnb so I thought we would not have any issues. The eco Lodge itself was pretty cool, the hosts brother is very talented and made a very cool place with his own hands and design. It's a little scrappy with a lot of old tires in the landscape design and that make the sink in the bathroom, but cool! Definitely something different. The bathroom was beautiful with good water pressure to everything but the sink. Hot water was fine. Do know that this is outside completely, so you will have ants, spiders, and another bug that kept drilling above us and producing little mounds of powdered wood (termites?). But this is all standard for an outside Airbnb for Nusa Penida I think. We had a good mosquito net at the place that was very nice, I only saw like 2 ants in bed and I don't know how they even got there. It was a little warm but the fan helped. He has a really cool speaker system in there and a lockbox that we could fit 2 laptops in and maybe some other slender electronics. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good, and the host was always on time with things which was greatly appreciated because not all people over here are like this. Now to the frustrating part with the host: I have only ever left one bad review in my life for something, this will be my second. If you do not want to read the full story, which I wrote below to try to share the Airbnb host's side as well: we were cheated by the host who was dishonest about the rental car for the day and about dropping us off at our next location on the other side of the island and also dishonest a second time when he agreed to pay half for the new driver (One our other nice Airbnb host sent to rescue us) and then went back on his word and said he would pay less than that when the driver finally came. He ended up paying a little less than half. So we ended up being possibly stranded if not for us finding another driver and spending more money (he offered to take us by motorbike however these roads are dangerous, AND we would have had to leave the luggage with him that night and not have it at our next place then trust him to get the bags back to us... He had already lost our trust at this point). What happened - so we agreed to a full day tour (the Airbnb host) + driver (his dad) with drop off at our next hotel. The tour guide was our Airbnb host. We started at 5:45am and we agreed with our airbnb host , Kadek, that we would see the locations we had requested (Kelingking and Angels Billabong), go to lunch and Crystal Bay (which he suggested), and eventually back to the Airbnb to pick up our stuff and drive to our next location at East Nusa Penida. I should have gotten that last part in writing, it was agreed verbally and I thought that was enough. We should have realized there was something shady happening when he said we should leave our luggage at the eco bamboo house when we wanted to take it to the car to make it easier on the driver for the return trip (he said "oh our place is on the way on the drive over") We agreed thinking he was afraid for it sitting in the car all day. Did the tour, had a great time, but every time we started talking about leaving Crystal beach early to get back, they said no, no, stay for sunset, to which we always replied, "No, we need to leave earlier to make it to our next Airbnb before dark." After an hour and a half or so at Crystal beach, we decided to leave extra early to go to our next Airbnb even EARLIER than 5:00 just to make sure we would make the sunset and not take the driver more time than if we had stayed at Crystal beach ! Even better for the driver we assumed because he wouldn't have to wait for us to see sunset at the beach here. So this was the plan. We arrived at Crystal bay at 1:00pm and left around 2:45 pm to head back. The Airbnb host Kadek drove us back to the eco bamboo garden to get our luggage then said we should have a rest there???? We said we wanted to go to our new Airbnb like we had agreed, and after some fishing around for what was really going on he said that this car was rented out to another person for the next hour! And that he had to go do that and then would come pick us back up and take us. We are flexible and generally like to give grace to people because we don't always know their circumstances and foolishly agreed to it, because we trusted him he seemed like such a nice guy and we felt bad for him like he was in a money pinch and had to rent it out during our time? What he really had to do was to return this car that he rented and try to find another car to rent again to take us. So an hour goes by and then he comes back with his brother on 2 motorcycles. And says that we...

Despite an initial frustrating wait and pick up from the harbour, the brothers were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The treehouse is a very unique experience and we were throughly impressed with it's construction. It's definitely worth a stay for the night and the brothers will treat you like family and are eager to ensure you have a good time, helping to book any sightseeing arrangements you may need. Breakfast in the morning was made by their mother - delicious banana pancakes with Balinese coffee - and we found our stay to be relaxing and very much private in nature. There are a number of ants in the treehouse (though none thankfully in the bed) and some spiders in the bathroom so those who don't like critters or to be sleeping more or less outside may wish to choose somewhere else. But if you can handle the nature and creatures, it's a very memorable experience, complete with a comfortable bed, and bathtub and outdoor shower under the stars.

Très bel endroit atypique en pleine nature. Kadek et son frère nous ont très bien accueilli et accompagné durant notre séjour. N’hésitez pas à leur demander les endroits à voir ou si vous souhaitez organiser des activités (snorkelling, billets de fastboat,...).
