Booked this place for my bridal party to stay at during the weekend of my wedding. It was a great spot since the sleeping pods allowed for our whole party to stay there. The cabin is also an excellent setting for the getting ready photos for our bridal party! Some of the decor didn't exactly match what was in the air bnb picture's for the cabin. Some of the decor was slightly cheesy for photos but I am sure other girls would not mind this. I do wish the master bedroom would have had the beautiful white bedding that was pictured in the air bnb listing to make it feel more bridal/high end. The grey nature inspired bedding suits the sleeping pods more than the master bedroom in my opinion. The water in the cabin is also well water & it really stunk. Would not trust drinking the water. We didn't even want to shower or steam our dresses with the water because didn't want the smell of the water to get in our hair or on our clothing.

Our stay was so wonderful! The house was well stocked with everything needed for a cozy weekend away and the pods were perfect for our larger group. The outdoor amenities were incredible as well - the hot tub, fire pit and snowshoes ensured we had a great time spending a winter day outside.

Words cannot describe. We were beyond pleased with our stay at the River House! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The scenery is beautiful, the wildlife was amazing and the “cabin” was pristine! We had such a wonderful time. The host was communicative and the grounds keeper and his fluffy sidekick Jack were great! We truly had everything we needed. As someone who loves to cook no matter where we travel, I had everything we needed! They had a spice rack and every cooking vessel/ cooking utensil needed! They had kernel popcorn with a popper, firewood for the fireplace/ fire pit and even stocked the fridge with filtered water and ice in the freezer! We took a couple of chairs down to the river and even had some nice swimming holes to dip into! It’s a great jumping off point if you want to head into the Canmore or Banff area. It’s close to Calgary but Turner Valley and Black Diamond Valley are great too. We look forward to coming here often! You just can’t get better than this!

Came back to River Rock after a great experience last year, and we hope to keep coming back for years to come! Incredible location/surroundings, just the right level of amenities for retreating to nature in comfort, and wonderful hosting and support from Donna and Ian!
