Stayed here for our anniversary, surroundings are beautiful and the balcony is lovely. Locating Sam’s place was easy however, the gates were shut and we weren’t sure what to do, after calling Sam ( who was very friendly and helpful ) gave the all clear to open the gates ourselves and drive down to the barn. We were not welcomed in person. Arriving at the barn it appeared there was horse manure in the flowerbed outside of the door which had attracted a lot of flies and had a noticeable smell which made entering the space a bit uncomfortable. The barn itself is well kept, spacious and modern with a lovely big bath but some of the equipment in the kitchen was sticky to the touch like the washing up basin and tea canister. As others have said cutlery is quite worn. During the night the horse below was quite loud at times having its dinner and making horsey sounds which did wake us. If you’re into the country lifestyle and can see past some of those things this is a great find.
