Air conditioning never worked. We followed the host’s troubleshooting instructions to no avail. We called the number in all their paperwork and it went to a locksmith. Sent an email-no reply, replied to a text, no reply. Totally unresponsive, and at $700+ per night it’s a ripoff. The furniture looked like it was from a fraternity house, constant elevator noise, bathroom sink didn’t drain and many other issues. I have documented everything with photos that I will be happy to share. Without a doubt this was by far our absolute worst AirBnB experience.

Location and view are fabulous in this building and unit. Sunrise was spectacular from the many windows and balconies. The unit interior was a little dated and in need of some maintenance and minor repairs.

Great place. Just need more chairs at table as there was just 4. the door going out to patio on the right is tricky and needs attention.

This unit is absolutely gorgeous, in the most lovely location right on the beach but has some serious management issues from the independent agency that manages the apartment. Never received the check-in email and had to get a local hotel because there was no way to get into the apartment nor did I receive any response from Ocean Condos until late, late the next morning, with the help from Airbnb, that had to continually call them to try to get the check-in instructions sent to me. THEN IT REALLY GOT BAD!!! This apartment is on the 8th floor and the elevator quit working. It took several hours for anyone from the Great Ocean Condos to reply or acknowledge my numerous texts for help. While walking down the eight flight of stairs to try to leave the apartment building for food, this is a continuous problem and it ruined the trip! Airbnb was amazing with their help and assistance, but never will rent where there is another agency you have to deal with, separate from Airbnb!
