Birgit hat ein großes, schönes Haus mit einem wunderbaren, naturbelassenen Garten, der bis ans Wasser reicht (man kann allerdings nicht auf die Ostsee schauen). Es gab alles, was man braucht. Eine gut ausgestattete Küche und sogar einen Grill. Der Fernseher hatte deutsche Kanäle vorprogrammiert. Wir haben es genossen, auf der Terrasse zu sitzen! Obacht, die Matratzen sind sehr hart. Wer es weicher will, muss auf dem Sofa schlafen. Es gibt viele Insekten, die sich einen Weg ins Haus suchen und das Wasser ist sehr schwefellastig. Aber so ist es nun einmal, wenn man ein paar ruhige Tage im Grünen verbringen will. Danke für die schöne Zeit.

We really liked Birgit's place! It was quiet, full of light/air and there is a terass in 3 sides of the house, so you can enjoy sun/shade througout the day. Sauna worked well and we could buy fresh chicken eggs from the neighbouring farm to prepare delicious breakfast. Fully recommended!

We had a very pleasant stay on Hiiumaa thanks to this cozy place and Birgit's accurate organisation. Everything was like described. We had great fish barbecue (we definitely recommend the local fish!), used the sauna and rented bikes in Kaerdla. If you're thinking about going to Hiiumaa in the summer, be aware of the big annoying bugs, who will chase you down if you dare to swim in the sea :D It was the hottest summer in Estonia in the last 50 years, but anyways, it was easy to relax inside the house. Unfortunately we couldn't open the bedroom door to the balcony (lovely place!) because of a hornet and wesp nest at the balcony. We let Birgit know and we think she'll take care of that. But we can imagine that this is also an awesome place in the colder seasons! We flew to Tallinn and rented a car at Amestic and then drove to the ferry to Hiiumaa. We even didn't have to book tickets in advance.

Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage auf Hiiumaa. Birgit hat uns herzlich empfangen und alles im Haus gezeigt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort wohnen.

The Anna Mallo House is a real gem in wonderful landscape. It is a place to enjoy whatever the weather is like. A 400m path through the forest leeds to the sea shore with a wide impressive reed belt. The view from the roofed veranda or the 1st floor balcony goes over meadows, juniper and large birches in the distance. The house gets a lot of sun. Kitchen and Bathroom are well equipped and very clean. A few km drive away is a supermarket, pharmacy, briefly all you might need. Birgit is very helpful with check in and out. Communication works like a charm. We felt very welcome and made ourselves at home quickly. Highly recommended!
