We stayed at "Steps Away" cottage in West Glacier with our son, daughter in law, and 3 young grandchildren. My son and my oldest 6-year-old grandson camped at the Apgar Campground while the rest of us "camped" at "Steps Away". The home is an older home, but very well maintained and cleaned. Our grandkids liked the bunk room where there was a very sturdy set of bunk beds. The two younger grand kids (4 & 2) had us read almost every child's book that was in the cottage and sometimes reading them again throughout the week we were there. The close location to Freda's restaurant in West Glacier made lunch dates with our grandchildren a lot of fun, especially the ice cream option there. My wife and daughter-in-law loved the fresh brewed coffee at Freda's. We all enjoyed playing the many games that were in the cottage also. This cottage is on a dead-end street which makes it ideal for children to ride their bikes. Plus, there are bike/walking trails in West Glacier that are easily accessible.

This place is a fun and relaxing place to hangout after a day of recreating in the area. Easy walk to the restaurant and store.

This place had a perfect location! Literally 2 minutes from the west entrance to Glacier National Park, just across the river. The layout of the house is a bit unusual with the dryer across the house from the washing machine, but don’t let that slow you down from staying here. Right around the corner from food, mini golf, and the National park! Also white water rafting close by. The rental company was very responsive to us and our questions! Would stay here again. Five stars.
