The place was so beautiful for my family. They thoroughly enjoyed the mountains and the home. We especially enjoyed the piano as well.

The cabin and scenery are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and we had a wonderful, relaxing time there. However, there are a few things that need improvement. The steep drive to the cabin was COMPLETELY covered with wet leaves, which made our tires spin on the way up. It was very difficult to see the road even in daylight. Upon arrival, we had to immediately sweep a couple hundred feet so our guest, who were arriving after dark, could see the edge of the road. Multiple non stick pans in the kitchen are in really poor condition and should be disposed of. There was “starter set” of 3 trash bags, 3 dishwasher pods, a 3 ounce bottle dish soap, half rolls of toilet paper in the bathrooms and note card on the counter that asks you to leave $5 for every bag of trash over three. It’s unfortunate that sufficient stock isn’t provided, especially considering $3,500 for the week. For us, improvement of these “ little” things would have made a difference between a good versus a great rating.

The Mountain Home was everything we hoped for. We had the most spectacular views! The location is perfect!! This home will be our new fall trip.

This mountain cabin is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The house is very private with no visible neighbors from the house. The views are stunning. It is also very accessible with a paved road leading up the mountain to the cabin. It is also only about 10 minutes from stores and restaurants in Waynesville creating a wonderful balance of privacy while still being a reasonable drive from amenities. Although possible fixed at this time, we did have some issues with the hot tub during our stay. It would not reliably heat and really only reached a normal temperature one time during our stay. I did reach out to Sunburst regarding this and they sent a technician out the following day. Additionally, there were more check out "rules" than I anticipated for the $220 cleaning fee. I anticipated the standard process for check-out as with many airBNB's, but was surprised by some things like extra fees for more than three bags of trash.
