My family and I loved this private vacation home. The caretakers were helpful and Miguel was always quick to respond to my questions leading up to our stay. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet area of the beach.

What a lovely stay! The location was ideal, right on the beach, right by the airport, and close enough for a short drive to Zihuat or a bit further to Ixtapa. The crashing of the waves was the soundtrack to our stay. We awoke early to walk on the beach, splashed in the waves (though swimming was not advisable due to rip currents), checked out the little village of Barra de Potosí, visited the nature refuge nearby, sampled the local pastries from a roadside stand nearby, and much more. But the real highlight was Miguel, and housekeepers Erica and Damian. They were always there to greet us in the morning, to clean the pool, cook when needed (delicious Salema fish on the grill), and felt like part of our family by the time we left. Erica made some Yerba Buena tea when my wife had an upset stomach, and drove with us to a local mechanic to get a small dent pounded out in our rental car. Lovely humans, and we hope to see them all again!

Casa Capichocho was a definite dream on the beach. It’s location out of town provided a peaceful and tranquil setting. The beach is a great walking beach and we did see whales and dolphins from our patio. Restaurants, a small store and a turtle recovery center were within walking distance. Miguel, our host was very accommodating and was always available to answer questions and provide help if needed. Equally as accommodating were our caretakers, Ericka and Damien. They provided daily services as needed. Erika was also available for hire to cook and do laundry—a definite bonus. We loved Casa Capichocho and given the opportunity we would definitely return.

Our time a Casa Capichocho was amazing. We shared the spacious accommodations with another couple and we all loved it. We hung out by the pool, walked the beach, and visited the restaurants up and down the playa . We bought eggs and produce at the little store a couple of blocks down the street. We took the mini-bus into Zihuatanejo several times and visited Barr De Potosi twice - once to walk around the town and another to take a whale-watching tour. So much to do! Erika and Damien, the caretakers, were amazing and always helpful. And Miguel went above and beyond, answering all our questions about the area and helping us arrange transportation. Book it! You'll be talking about it for years to come.
