One of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed in! The Sidekick is a GEM. We live in Durham & were delighted to book this gorgeous poolside house for a staycation. Jane's attention to detail is unparalleled! There are thoughtful touches throughout the property & so many sweet details - three of my favorites included: all of the local musicians featured in the record collection next to the turntable, a postcard writing station with stamped postcards to write & send & locally roasted Counter Culture Coffee ready to be freshly ground. Super comfortable bed. Easy to use tech. Great bathroom. Fully stocked kitchen. We will definitely be back!

The Sidekick is a gem of a place to stay. It is well designed, organized and architecturally interesting. The double doors that opened fully to the outside garden made us feel like we were inside and outside at the same time. Jane and Justin's garden and pool area are spectacular. We especially loved sitting out there in the morning, listening to birds sing, having a cup of their yummy coffee. It was too cold to swim in the pool but being poolside and dipping our feet was all very relaxing. The outside shower is amazing too. Bed is extremely comfortable, even for older backs. Jane and Justin made our stay so easy. We were there to visit family and had some health hiccups along the way. Jane and Justin were so kind and generous, made our stay so easy and were completely accommodating. We are so lucky to have found this place. It is a 10 out of 10. We will definitely be back!

Super clean, super comfy, cozy and cool. Loved it for a quick visit. Wish I had time to spend at the pool! Enjoyed my stay and would come again.

This place is actually better in my opinion than advertised. The hosts have gone out of their way to make the space homey, functional, and creative! It is a lovely backyard oasis with the fun, quirky decor that combines antiques with fully modernized conveniences! I would highly recommend, and definitely stay again when I’m next in town!
