What an absolutely incredible place - even more gorgeous than the photos. We absolutely loved the Old Church. Entering the building and exploring it for the first time was such an amazing experience, and definitely worth the long drive! The house came well stocked, with everything we needed in the kitchen, a separate big fridge and freezer for all our food, and optional firewood for purchase (which was a big plus - thank you). We did forget to bring towels though, so remember to bring your own! Despite being such a big space, all the main rooms felt wonderfully cozy, and we really had such a lovely time. One recommendation for future groups - we held a speed scavenger hunt* for the group on our first day, which let people run around and explore the house in pairs; it was a hit, and such a great way to explore the church and document our time in it with silly videos. Fully recommend. *E.g. "Take a video re-enacting a famous scene from a movie", "Bring me something that starts with a W"

The photos don't do this place justice. There is a real wow factor when you arrive at, and enter the property. We were a group of 11 friends and had a great time exploring the church and grounds over a 2 night stay. Great kitchen facilities, the place was warm, and we had no issues using the various amenities. Can't recommend this place enough.

this is an indescribable place, the church is just incredibly gorgeous and unique -- great for a group of friends or family to spend some tranquil days in. we spent the new years here and have to say it was very warm and Laura had made every effort for the place to be cosy.

Lovely location, lovely building, the tower was renovated lovely but the bedrooms are no so, low quality finish. Bathrooms need renovating, the only shower is grimy and badly grouted, the upstairs toilet took 1 hour to fill up each use, the bath in the bedroom has lost most of its enamel and you would cut your skin if you used it, the pictures and artwork are a very unique taste. The hot water tank was leaking through the kitchen ceiling and someone had stuck a pan under the leak but it had overflowed. The lounge is extremely cold unless you keep the log burner going all day, there are no sofas just day beds, ok to lay on but not comfortable to sit on especially with elderly people, stairs up to the kitchen and down to the lounge are steep and no hand rails which was a struggle for some people. TV had no signal The tower look out was lovely except the windows had not been cleaned in months so could barley see through them and they were padlocked shut. Lovely stay but overpriced.
