The place was fine. There were no drills, it's a little run down, and it didn't feel like home... but it was a serviceable unit in a good location. You can't use a Chromecast or FireStick on the TV and expect to control the volume, because the TV is old and the controls for it don't work. As well my mother was bitten on a couple of occasions by something that resembled a leech and would cling to the skin. We think it was living in the mattress and couch. The biggest issue was really that it didn't feel like a home away from home. There are signs all over that reference the fines you get for doing XYZ. It's just not inviting and feels "slum lordy".
Jan’s apartment is conveniently located near bus stops that can take you to many places, it also has convenience stores nearby. My only gripe is that I would prefer to have more eatery options within walking distance but it’s good enough because it’s very convenient to get anywhere with the bus stops all around. Thanks Jan!

Jan is a highly attentive host, providing us with precise instructions for both check-in and check-out, responded our question quickly. Her apartment is in a great location from where we can walk to the metro in about ten minutes or take buses to explore the area. Staying at Jan's place felt like being in the comfort of our own home. Our visit to Taipei was truly enjoyable.

Thank you for dropping by. My husband and I love hosting on Airbnb and we have been Superhosts for 14 consecutive terms. We love how it gives us the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and in all walks of life. I have grown and expanded so much from being exposed to such diversity. I am young at heart, playful, and always positive. I am an architect by training, am very creative, have many diverse interests and love to learn new things. I love designing, drawing, painting, dancing, cooking, baking, sewing, photographing, film-making and anything design related. I am also a health coach and studied nutrition and wellness at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition with some of the best and most progressive voices in health today. I crossed over to healthcare in order to make better choices for my family and loved ones. I was born and raised in Canada but I am currently living in Taipei with my amazing husband and 2 beautiful daughters.
