The Seagull Bay: A Lakeside Motel. Your memories with a view. This is a walk-out basement unit with upper level windows that face the lake. However, there is a patio/deck with a full lake view. The unit is 1200 square feet with a full kitchen, three private bedrooms, and one full private bath with shower. The bedrooms consist of one with a queen bed and the other two with twin beds. The unit typically sleeps 6 adults. This unit is often enjoyed by groups of friends or families that like to spend more time together during their Bayfield visit!

We booked our stay in February; showed up in October, and they didn't have our reservation. I drove five hours to get there, my friend drove six from another location. I texted them the receipts, and they said they couldn't find it. It happens, and they did find us another place a few miles away. It didn't have any of the amenities we were after, and they wouldn't tell me the price of the new location (and it wasn't listed online) so I don't know if I lost money, but it was better than sleeping on the street (everything else for an hour in each direction was booked for a festival). The grounds looked nice, and the location looked great. I am bummed we never got an apology--the man I spoke with blamed AirBnB and was reluctant to help me figure out where the problem was.

Great location to explore Bayfield and the surrounding areas. Nice little trail connects to walk into town. The deck was a nice amenity as well. Unit was very clean! All the basic amenities provided but kitchen not quite stocked enough if you prefer to cook for yourself while traveling. Also we could hear every footstep from the unit above and every time they flushed the toilet.

On the edge of Lake Superior near the scenic Brownstone Trail, this casual low-rise motel sits 0.7 miles from the Bayfield Maritime Museum and 6 blocks from Downtown.

出行信息

Getting around Bayfield is very easy by car, walking or bike. The Seagull Bay is a 10-15 minute walk to downtown. There is downtown parking available, with exception to event weekends.
The Madeline Island Ferry runs regularly throughout the late spring, summer and fall and much of the winter dependent on the amount of ice.
The BART bus also runs regularly for a small fee, through Bayfield and the Chequamegon Bay Area.
The Big Top Chautauqua runs a shuttle for many of their concerts and events.
