This a cute place, that is mostly quite comfortable. Good communication with Thomas. Nice view of the lake. Definitely met our needs for a weekend wedding. Should know that the house is right up on the road, which was loud at times. Also, the mattress in the second room (bottom bunk of the bunk bed) was exceedingly uncomfortable. Overall, though, good experience.

The host Tom was very helpful when we had questions. We’re thankful he told us about the Aldi and Walmart on our drive from the Albany airport. The local grocery had the supplies we needed to fill in. We were there early in the season, so the deck furniture wasn’t out of the garage yet, but we were able to pull out a couple of chairs for ourselves. The kitchen was well-equipped except there was not a 12-cup coffee pot.. just a 4-cup. It did have a Keurig and cups, but we like to brew our own. It was very comfortable, and we would return! Thanks for sharing your home, Tom.

This house is perfect for someone who wants to have lake access and be in the ADKs but close to restaurants and the village of Speculator. The fireplace was very cozy and nice vibes. Great amount of space for a couple or small family. Incredibly comfortable bed. Really nice TV and sound system for lounging. Not incredibly private from neighboring houses, but the closest neighbor wasn't there for winter. Would be even better in warmer month because they have kayaks and a paddleboard and campfire pit. Owner was communicative with us about using the fireplace and plowing the driveway, which was helpful.

We had a very nice stay from Wednesday to Sunday for our daughters wedding. It was a nice place on the lake. Wish we could’ve used the kayaks and enjoyed more views. Although it was a nice place, it could’ve used a little updating furniture was kind of smelly and the double mattress in the bunkbed room could use a new one. And then I know it was for our safety, but for security cameras on the property felt like I was being watched all the time but all in all it’s a very nice little place.
