Gorgeous weekend away with girls - huts beautifully decorated with well equipped kitchen (great stove) and comfortable lounge area

Our first impressions of Melanie’s place were excellent - and this set the scene for the rest of our stay. We arrived to freshly mown surrounds, great views across to Mount Canobolas and the old Amaroo station shearing quarters, renovated wonderfully, yet still full of character; spotless throughout and full of little practical touches that we all appreciated. Whilst our initial plan was to eat offsite at some stage, we quickly and unanimously made the call to cater on-site, given the excellent kitchen and BBQ facilities. After one great dinner under the stars, the next inside, that call was absolutely vindicated. Finally, as a base to explore the Central West, Amaroo proved ideal, being close to Orange, Molong and all the sites around Canobolas. Our group was full of praise for Melanie’s hospitality and will certainly look for an opportunity to return at some stage.

An extremely well considered setup, with thoughtful details that made our stay very comfortable, without loosing the character of a farm stay. We will certainly be back. Thank you Melanie - we Loved it!

This is our second stay at the shearers huts@amaroo and it was just as special as the first time. We particular love the new addition of the firepit and spent a glorious night, sitting around it chatting under the stars. Such a great place to get away with a group of friends and enjoy the serenity of the property and the delights of Orange and Molong. We will be back for sure.

We had such a great time staying at Melanie’s place! Everything was lovely, I’m so happy we had the chance to visit. Very cosy and welcoming, we didn’t want to leave! Looking forward to coming back one day :)
