This place is charming, and the best location to the town of Bayeux and what it has to offer. You are in the thick of everything, and wouldn't need a car! The gardens are amazing, and Claire is very responsive to any questions you have. I would book again!

We spent nearly a week and loved every second. The location was fantastic. The sunroom was very cozy. The host was very attentive and thoughtful. We were a short drive from all the war memorials and Bayeux itself is very charming.

Our visit to Claire’s tiny house was exceptional. Right in the centre of beautiful Bayeux but so private and tranquil. The house itself had everything we needed and more. Beautifully furnished, comfy bed, great shower over the bath and, to top it all, a beautiful terrace and garden and secure parking. Claire was amazing and extremely helpful and solicitous ensuring a wonderful stay. Replacement towels from her housekeeper midway through our week were welcome and unexpected. Still can’t get over the fact that in the midst of such a vibrant small city, behind electric gates, we found ourselves in a little oasis of calm. Everywhere was easily walkable, with all the attractions together with great restaurants and shopping, only a few steps away. Booking again for next year to see the places we missed first time around and revisit ones we did see.

Absolutely perfect for a few days stay in beautiful Bayeux. All the sights and restaurants are walkable so you’re in the middle of everything yet have a retreat to go back to and relax with on-site parking. This is invaluable! We had a lovely warm welcome and the hosts were nearby for anything we needed. A great experience. Thank you 🤩

Claire’s “Tiny House” is peaceful & private with a lovely garden just a block off the main street. On-site parking was invaluable. Leave your car as Bayeux is a delightful, walkable town with restaurants & attractions steps away. The house itself is spacious, spotlessly clean & artfully decorated with a pleasing mix of contemporary & antique furnishings. Claire is a wonderful host who goes out of her way to ensure your stay is perfect. We appreciated her hospitality so much! For your consideration... We had an excellent meal at La Rapiere; both the food & staff were superb. The Walking Tour offered from the Visitors’ Center daily at 9:30am was interesting & entertaining. We highly recommend an Airbnb experience, the “June 6th, 1944, D-Day” tour hosted by Johann. A professional historian & guide, Johann will pick you up & treat you to an unforgettable day in Normandy where he makes history come alive with his knowledge & stories of the events and people of the day.
