Myself, son and granddaughter stayed for 4 nights to view the total solar eclipse. The location was perfect and with a quiet country feeling. As for the cabin, it was so beautiful, spotlessly clean, interesting, comfortable. We really didnt want to leave. I actually almost cried. It made our whole eclipse experience beautiful! Adam is a great host, friendly and responsive to all messages. He brought us wood when we asked, and had someone come out quickly to remedy a hot water heater error code. I have to say he and his wife are very kind, as they were willing to work with me with a potential personal issue. I loved how time almost seemed to stand still while there. Enjoyed the fireplace, and quietly sitting on the porch. We cooked on the grill one night too. I 100% recommend this cabin, especially if you enjoy primitive, early American decor. I'd love to come back someday!!

I stayed with a friend for a few nights where we had a nice time reading books and drinking copious amounts of tea. Our host was very responsive and helpful when we asked about the fireplace instructions. The history of the house is so interesting and it is beautifully restored and decorated. One downside we found was that we hadn't expected it to be right off of a busy road. At first we could hear the cars, but we got used to it. From the photos we were thinking it would be more secluded and tucked in the woods. The outside surroundings weren't very pretty but the inside made up for it. The other downside was that there was a lack of curtains on many of the windows. We felt uncomfortable with people potentially being able to see inside at night. The bedrooms had curtains but everywhere else didn't have curtains/blinds to draw for the night. We resorted to pulling off the sheets from the extra bed and using them to cover some of the windows.

It’s so beautiful here and the extra games are awesome. It’s a huge bonus to have firewood available for the fireplace. It’s wonderful to sit in front of the fire and relax. The decorations inside are amazing and there is so much history here. We love staying here and connecting with each other.
