Linda was a wonderful host. She welcomed us with fresh-baked ginger cookies and a warm smile. Linda, her husband Philip and son Levi took us on a tour of their dairy farm and invited us to join them for dinner. She prepared handmade ice cream and warm brownies for us to enjoy with her family that evening. Breakfast the next morning (scrambled eggs, sausages, cinnamon rolls and juice) was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Linda and her family.

A one of kind Farmstay! An experience full of nature and nurture and getting back to things that matter the most. Thank you Linda and Philip for sharing your beautiful home, delicious homemade ice cream , apple crumble, homegrown bountiful summer veggies, organic milk and most importantly sharing your time with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our heart warming conversations, your delightful boys and the amazing tour around the farm. The room is super clean and comfortable with all the amenities one would need. Locally sourced and handcrafted tasteful touches. The organic dairy is a labor of love for the entire family and we so cherish all that they do to make this a memorable time for everyone who gets the opportunity to come visit the farm.

I booked Linda and Phillip’s place for a single night on a road trip to Lake Superior and wish I’d been able to stay longer. It was a wonderful and restorative experience. The farmhouse is located on a gorgeous organic dairy farm with rolling hills, wooded areas, and beautifully tended fields and animals. The farmhouse itself is equally lovely; as a carpenter’s daughter I admired the impeccable workmanship throughout the home. My room and bathroom were beautifully decorated, immaculate, and had everything I needed. What will stay with me the most is the kindness, thoughtfulness, and hospitality of Linda and her family including a warm greeting on my arrival, a personal note (and cookies!) in my room, a tour of the farm (very cool farming practices), homemade ice cream and conversation around a fire at night, and a hearty breakfast around the table in the morning. After the rushing around in my everyday life it was a balm to experience the warmth of the family and the serenity of the farm. Highly recommended!
