Our stay in Park Circus was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful apartment, clean, luxurious bathrooms, hotel quality beds, nicely decorated. Quiet neighborhood. The location was ideal, next to Kelvingrove Park which is lovely to walk through, walkable to many nice restaurants, and the subway, and walkable to museums and things to do. Hosts were so responsive and kind.

Philip & Elspeth's house is a gorgeous apartment located in a quite city centre area next to the beautiful Glasgow University and a huge garden with lovely birds and squirrels. All rooms and spaces inside are big and equipped with every facility needed for a comfortable living. We enjoyed very much during 2 nights stay. Elspeth is a good host. The restaurants (for example Ox & Finch) she recommended were excellent. We would like to suggest to our friends and come again.

We were in town for the Irish Dance World Championships and Philip and Elspeth’s place was a perfect location for us. They have a beautiful, spacious basement apartment that’s walkable to plenty of fun restaurants and coffee shops, great pubs, Sauchiehall street, Charing Cross train station and the SEC. I'd highly recommend it and would stay again. Three notes of advice: Glasgow is really hilly and this apartment is at the top of a big hill so bring comfortable walking/hiking shoes and be prepared for a hardcore calf muscle workout. Street parking in the area is ridiculously expensive (£120/day) so if you have a car, make sure you let Elspeth know and ask about the reasonably priced visitor’s parking permits. Make reservations for meals. This area has lots of nice little places to eat but they book up fast. On the evenings we didn’t book ahead, we spent them wandering from place to place looking for a table.

We loved our stay at Philip and Elspeth's place! The minute we walked in, we felt comfortable and right at home. The location is more than perfect. It was in a very peaceful, safe, and beautiful area. We were within walking distance of fabulous restaurants recommended by our lovely hosts, as well as the SEC center. The beds were super comfortable, towels were soft, and everything was so clean. The view out of the window is beautiful, and we always felt relaxed every moment we were there. Philip and Elspeth even provided snacks, essentials, coffee and tea - making it even more at home. This will be our go-to place when we return to Glasgow! Highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed!

What a wonderful find! The apartment is beautiful, spacious, and clean. Basement suite, but with such high ceilings, you wouldn’t know it. And in the main bedroom, there’s a window seat which is absolutely perfect for sitting cozied up and reading a good book. Elspeth (co-host) was wonderfully helpful, including giving us great tips about the area. The neighborhood is peaceful and everything you might need is in walking distance. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Glasgow and would happily stay here again, personally.
