Arrived to find place unclean - ie no cleaning at all since previous occupants- unmade beds, used linens and towels, basically no cleaning whatsoever. Called Altido; they had no clue at all- said they would send a message to cleaning company but were unable to call them… Seems Altido is a corporate machine that doesn’t know whether things have or haven’t been done. We wouldn’t be able to stay if they couldn’t clean -we went out for walk and I was told cleaners were in the property and cleaning at 3pm. I asked Altido when they would be finished-couldn’t say. We then checked at the property and cleaners still hadn’t arrived! Eventually the cleaners arrived at around 3.45 and cleaned most of the property until 4.30 with us sitting around by that point. There were some excuses about someone (not one of cleaning team as Altido had implied) falling in the street and them helping, but regardless they never would have had the property cleaned by 3pm check-in. Very poor experience

We had a fantastic 5 nights in North Berwick. We arrived by train and had an easy walk from the station to the house. The beach is at the end of the road and the house is walking distance from the high street.

Great place to stay, perfectly located for the beach, the high street, restaurants, etc. but still very quiet in the evenings. It was well decorated throughout. Many thanks.
